In this article Gainesville 4 news team has reported on the proposed dangerous intersection change after the intersection has taken the life of Jeffery DeLong.  This article is an attempt to raise awareness of this dangerous intersection in hopes to have it removed.

The problem for this story is that there a lot of concerned local citizens worried about their safety when approaching this intersection. They want to upgrade this intersection with traffic lights and warning signs. This is all part of a bigger plan to resurface 441 a very bust road that has become dangerous to drive on.

By doping this upgrade, it will put the people from around these parts at ease. Especially the mother of the victim to ensure it doesn’t happen to anyone else’s child.

In this article it discusses the issue of having a disformed baby born every 4.5 minutes of the day reported to us by Jax 4 news. It says that birth defect happens with every 1 and 33 children. Heart defects are the most common out of the defects among babies. This is a very serious problem that need to be address.

With most of the defects occur in the first six months during child pregnancy I think doctors should start getting ahead of this problem by find potentional cures to help reduce the amount defected babies a year. One idea is taking 400mg of folic acid to help reduce the problem.

Pregnant mothers should stay update to vaccinations and stay as healthy as possible while pregnant to help reduce the defects. There is proven research that say this will help when hoping for a healthy baby.

In this article they talk about U.S. stocks fell broadly in early trading on Friday amid ongoing uncertainty about the potential economic impact of the virus outbreak that originated in China. The health organization has declared a state of emergency due this epidemic of a virus.

With most of China stock market falling during this problem of the coronavirus U.S. has advised against anyone entering the country of China for a while. The only Market that is still soaring through this epidemic is Amazon.

In this article the US military has reported an increase in Iranian activity in Afghanistan that poses a risk to American and coalition troops there. This is a resulted in us sending a general into Afghanistan to hopefully get to the bottom of this issue.

This is a very diligent issue considering what has all went down in Iran over the past month, this makes it very important that general McKenzie moves forward with the matter with extreme caution for his military troops.

US military plans on taking measures that will eliminate their risk of being in Iran and Afghanistan will it’s such a hostile environment we must still be there for their people who can’t protect themselves.

In this article they talk about the deadly forest fires going on still in Australia that is currently devastating that part of our country. Australia declared a state of emergency for this fire showing the magnitude of them. This fire has killed 4 people and claimed over 500 different homes.

This problem is that the wildfires are not slowing but actually picking up ground by the flame covering over 53,000 acres of land. They need to stop this fire as soon as possible before if destroys more of their land.

We must come together and help our people in need is the final message of this article which I agree with. I know that if we were in a time of need some our neighbor countries would come to our rescue.

Forming An Opportunity Belief

Beginning point: I think that student’s often find themselves in a predicament of always being tired, this is a direct result of Universities overloading students with coursework. I believe that schools should not allow classes before 9 o’clock AM to help with having well rested. Not to mention 70.2% of students currently use their own earnings to pay for their school without finical help from their families, meaning most students are also working to help pay for their tuition also taking away sleep time.

Describe your beliefs:

Unmet need- College students to have enough energy to get through school and work.

Who has the need- Any college student who every finds them self too tired to stay awake for class not allowing them to learn or go to work and function.

What are people doing to meet this need now: People are just toughing it out and just getting it done on minimal sleep trying their best. Which shows why I am 100% this opportunity exists

Prototypical customer: Any college student that is not just going to school but also working to pay for their tuition.

My Co-worker Maria was very concerned with this lingering problem of students not getting enough sleep. She also goes to University of Florida and works to pay for her own tuition leaving her not much time to give her body a rest. She has been aware of this problem ever since her freshmen year in college and her only solution is to deal with barely staying awake and also sometimes results in skipping class.

TC a Veteran in the Marines is now dealing with the problems that most college kids have dealt with for many years now. He said after being in the military he was used to not having much sleep but the amount of course work given and having to pay for his own school has put him in a hard spot of finding a job resulting in less personal time. He is looking for solutions by complaining to the school board and coming up with new ideas such as classes should not be offered until after 9 AM so students can have a little more time to rest so they will be sharper throughout the day.

He experienced the hassle of having to manage his time into awful hours of the day just to stay afloat in school while also working as a bus boy to help pay for his school. He also has to keep a 3.75 GPA to maintain his scholarship which is the only way to afford the school for him. With this being said it’s sad the university as no sympathy for students in these situations which is 70.2% of students nationwide.

Reflection: After interviewing 3 different prototypical customers it only confirmed my believe that college students to have enough time in the day to sleep and complete their coursework while also working to pay for your own tuition. Not a single person that I interviewed said they were receiving enough sleep to be highly functional throughout the day.

Summary: This belief is now even larger after talking with different students finding out that I’m not the only person who has difficulty with managing my coursework while also being able to work a part-time job to pay for tuition but ending up in debt anyways when it’s all said and done. I think this problem can be fixed by not allowing classes before 9 AM this will allow student to at least get and extra hour or two of sleep before having to conquer the day.

Your Entrepreneurship Story

1.     My freshman year in college I was put in charge of my group for our new group project. The class was Advertising strategies where we had to create an advertising campaign for Tesla’s new model T3 car. I was in charge of overcoming a lot of strategies during this project such as keeping everyone on task, setting up meeting times so we would have enough time to complete our project, and being the direct line of communication with our professor. I was liable for purchasing our 100-page booklet that cost about 15 dollars showing how I put the money into the project so that it can excel and pay me back with a good grade. There are many great entrepreneurs we can learn from that have done really for themselves by taking a chance on themselves and working very hard coming from nothing.

2.     I took ENT3003 so that I could gain knowledge and tools that will help me succeed in life after academia. I would also like to gain leadership tools; I would like to one day own my own company or business after I have enough money to start one up. So, by taking this class I really look forward to learning what a true entrepreneur is all about. I really look forward to taking this class and learning valuable tools throughout the semester.
