4 news team has reported on the proposed dangerous intersection change after
the intersection has taken the life of Jeffery DeLong. This article is an attempt to raise awareness
of this dangerous intersection in hopes to have it removed.
The problem for this story
is that there a lot of concerned local citizens worried about their safety when
approaching this intersection. They want to upgrade this intersection with
traffic lights and warning signs. This is all part of a bigger plan to
resurface 441 a very bust road that has become dangerous to drive on.
By doping this upgrade, it
will put the people from around these parts at ease. Especially the mother of
the victim to ensure it doesn’t happen to anyone else’s child.

In this article it discusses the issue
of having a disformed baby born every 4.5 minutes of the day reported to us by
Jax 4 news. It says that birth defect happens with every 1 and 33 children.
Heart defects are the most common out of the defects among babies. This is a
very serious problem that need to be address.
With most of the defects occur in the
first six months during child pregnancy I think doctors should start getting
ahead of this problem by find potentional cures to help reduce the amount
defected babies a year. One idea is taking 400mg of folic acid to help reduce the
problem.
Pregnant mothers should stay update to vaccinations
and stay as healthy as possible while pregnant to help reduce the defects.
There is proven research that say this will help when hoping for a healthy
baby.

In this article they talk about U.S. stocks fell broadly in early
trading on Friday amid ongoing uncertainty about the potential economic impact
of the virus outbreak that originated in China. The health organization has declared
a state of emergency due this epidemic of a virus.
With most of China stock market falling during this problem of the coronavirus
U.S. has advised against anyone entering the country of China for a while. The
only Market that is still soaring through this epidemic is Amazon.

In this article the US military has reported an increase in Iranian
activity in Afghanistan that poses a risk to American and coalition troops
there. This is a resulted in us sending a general into Afghanistan to hopefully
get to the bottom of this issue.
This is a very diligent issue considering what has all went down in
Iran over the past month, this makes it very important that general McKenzie
moves forward with the matter with extreme caution for his military troops.
US military plans on taking measures that will eliminate their risk of
being in Iran and Afghanistan will it’s such a hostile environment we must still
be there for their people who can’t protect themselves.

ReplyDeleteI like how you used popular stories as examples for your opportunities. One of your stories that speaks to me is the Australian wildfires. This local story has become a national story and everyone sees the Australian wildfires as a huge opportunity. We are very luck to have philanthropic individuals in society that are helping the cause. Great post!

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading each of these stories as I chose a different location to do the assignment about. The first story about the dangerous intersection intrigued me as this is a pretty large issue considering it caused a death. I feel like this story is somewhat similar to the shooting example we did in class, with the various perspectives including the victim and their family. Also, because it caused a death, it brings more attention to the issue with a sense of urgency.

I found all of these articles very interesting but the one that stood out the most is the article about the dangerous intersection that took the life of Jeffery DeLong. I found this to be a great opportunity for entrepreneurship because this is a problem that occurs all around the world. It seems that the least monitored intersections are the most dangerous because they tend to lack warning signs and traffic lights making it extremely dangerous to pedestrians. Overall, great post!

ReplyDeleteYou made some really intricate and interesting points! Wild fires are causing mass chaos in the country of Australia and people need to be aware. These forest fires are sometimes uncontrollable and can't be stopped. Multiple families and homes are being ripped apart by these wild fires. I also like how you emphasized the fact that children are born every 4.5 minutes with a birth defect. A statistic like this one is not easy to just take a glance at and pass on. People need to take the opportunities to help and support people in this type of situation.
